Skilled Nursing Unit

The Texas Masonic Retirement Center is committed to providing for residents for their entire life.  Sometimes more complex services are needed with advancing age. When independent living becomes a challenge, TMRC provides a sparkling clean skilled nursing facility staffed with specially trained nurses and other health care professionals. 
Due to space limitations, our skilled nursing facility can only be offered to current residents of TMRC. We do not provide a secured or Alzheimer unit.

Many personal services are available to residents in our skilled nursing facility, including assistance with bathing, dressing, hair styling, laundry service, and other needs. This 24 hour a day, seven days a week service eliminates the need for a move to an entirely different community.  Activities in the skilled nursing area are planned especially for these residents—fun and laughter are so important to overall quality of life.  These folks get up and go, with frequent offsite and onsite events.

An important part of caring for residents of the skilled nursing facility is open communication with families and residents.  We plan quarterly meetings with residents, adult children, spouses, and other caregivers with updates on new services and opportunities to voice concerns or offer suggestions.  We welcome your questions any time, but these meetings seem to help keep communication open and easy.
