Admission and Eligibility

We are delighted you may become a resident of the Texas Masonic Retirement Center (TMRC).  We offer you the finest accommodations and amenities, planned to meet any budget.  We hope you’ll take time to check out our variety of apartments and duplexes, payment options, and photo tour.

We provide a lifetime commitment to meet your needs and the needs of your loved ones.  However, because the Texas Masonic Retirement Center is an independent living center, rather than a nursing home, all applicants must be capable of independent life.  In addition, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements summarized in the following information.

Ineligible Health Situations:

• Those who are currently in treatment for cancer or tuberculosis are ineligible.
• Those who have severe hearing, speech or sight impairments are ineligible.
• Alcoholics and drug addicts are ineligible.
• Those of unsound mind are ineligible. 

Required Masonic Membership Status:

“I just go to sleep at night and feel so safe and have no fear.”

Texas Master Masons, who have continuously been in good standing in a Texas Lodge working under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Texas or a Texas Chapter working under the jurisdiction of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas for five (5) years preceding the application, are eligible to move to TMRC.

Requirements for
Family Members of Eligible Masons:

• Widows
• Wives
• Mothers
• Never-married daughters
• Never-married sisters

Wives, widows, divorced or widowed mothers, never-married sisters, and never-married daughters are eligible if the related eligible Texas Master Mason is(was) in good standing with their Texas Lodge or Chapter. When the wife or widow of a Master Mason applies for admission, she must have been continuously married to the eligible Mason for three (3) years prior to the time of application.

Payment options for eligible Masons:

Option 1: Payment for Services:  This option includes an initial deposit and daily payment rate. 

Option 2:  Total Asset Turnover: 

• This option includes,  but is not limited to transfer of all real estate and personal property; cash in banks; automobiles; monthly retirement income including Social Security.  This option also includes a five year financial look back period.
• In return for a total asset turnover, the resident receives total care for the rest of her life. This is all-inclusive. The resident also receives a monthly allotment for spending money.

Payment options for eligible Masonic family members:

Option 1:  Payment for Services:  This option includes an initial deposit and daily payment rate.

Option 2:  Total Asset Turnover: Family members should contact Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas  about this option by calling toll-free 1.877.203.9111 or sending an email to info@mcfstx.org.

Option 1:  Payment for Services:  This option includes an initial deposit and daily payment rate.

Option 2: Total Asset Turnover:  To discuss this option, contact the OES Grand Chapter office at 817.265.6263. 

• This option includes,  but is not limited to transfer of all real estate and personal property; cash in banks; automobiles; monthly retirement income including Social Security. This option also includes a five year financial look back period.
• In return for a total asset turnover, the resident receives total care for the rest of her life. This is all-inclusive. The resident also receives a monthly allotment for spending money.
